CBD Oil In Smoothies

During one of our recent CBD For Life team Zoom calls, we discussed our disgust for our newfound snacking habits. We talked about making better choices and sharing healthy recipes. Among some of the recipes shared were some delicious smoothies, which we all agreed are a much better alternative to a bag of Salt and Vinegar chips. Mangoes and turmeric contain vitamins and antioxidants that are said to help brighten dull skin. To give this smoothie some heat, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes and a little bit more salt before you blend.

4 CBD-INFUSED SMOOTHIES TO TRY NOW

Staying at home has its pros and cons. For us, some of the pros have been cleaning and organizing, reconnecting with old friends (thank you, Zoom) and spending quality time with the family (though to be perfectly honest, this can sometimes borderline con). On the flip side, being in arm’s reach of the snack cabinet and acting as the official taste tester for everything your children bake are two serious stay at home cons.

Smoothies sound great in theory—you imagine waking up every morning and blending your instagram-worthy, vitamin cocktail—but for so many of us, the planning, prep and cleanup may send you straight back to the snack cabinet. But if you plan accordingly and make your smoothie in bulk, you can keep it in the refrigerator for up to 2 to 3 days (max) to enjoy.

Naturally, our smoothies include CBD, which takes the health benefits up a notch. Adding CBD to your smoothie can help with everything from inducing a sense of calm to aiding in digestion. Plus, it’s a sure way to ensure you’re getting your daily dose of CBD. One thing to note: if you do make your smoothie in bulk, make sure you add your CBD (fresh) everytime you drink it.

ORANGE IS THE NEW GREEN

Sometimes a smoothie that tastes this good isn’t always good for you. Thankfully, this recipe calls for a cast of wonderful ingredients that offer a host of health benefits—antioxidants to essential vitamins. This smoothie recipe is courtesy of Tenisha, our director of operations, who typically prefers to drink green but has a newfound fondness for orange.

  • – 1 cup coconut water
  • – 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • – ½ cup shredded carrots
  • – 1 cup frozen mango chunks
  • – 1 orange, peeled
  • – 1 scoop of unflavored plant protein powder (vanilla works, too)
  • – 1 dropper of Non-Flavored CBD Oil TIncture 600 mg
  • – Scoop of fresh ground Tumeric (optional)

Instructions: Toss all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

WELL RED

We love this smoothie for it’s wonderful flavor (you can’t taste the beets, promise) and wellness benefits (antioxidants, vitamins, fiber, iron, potassium and more). With any smoothie, give the recipe a go and then adjust to your liking. The recipe is a doctored-up version of the internet famous “Red Velvet” smoothie that our director of marketing, Julie, downs daily.

– 1 cup coconut milk (or any dairy free milk)

– 1 fresh or frozen banana

– 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries

– ½ cup of roasted beets

– 1 scoop unflavored plant protein powder

– 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

– Squirt of agave or sprinkle of Stevia (optional)

Instructions: Toss all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

GOODNESS GREEN

A green smoothie doesn’t have to taste green. This recipe from Mollie, our health conscious director or sales, serves up the perfect balance of green meets sweet. Kale is one of the most nutrient-dense foods, but it does carry a little bit of a bite. When blended with super fruits, like blueberries and banana, the flavor is much less obvious yet you’re still reaping kale’s power-packed wellness benefits.

– 1 cup frozen pineapple

– 1 cup frozen blueberries

– 1 cup frozen kale

– 1 scoop vanilla plant protein powder

– 1 cup spring water

Instructions: Toss all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

MINTY MELON

This recipe is more refreshing than it is filling and perfect for warmer days ahead. Madison, our graphic designer, drinks this smoothie all summer long. Between the coconut water, watermelon and cucumber, it’s extremely hydrating. Madison says it makes for a great margarita, too.

– 1 cup freshly cubed watermelon

– ½ cup coconut water

– ½ cup crushed ice

– Few slices of cucumber

– Few fresh mint leaves

Instructions: Toss all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.

CBD Mango Smoothie

To give this smoothie some heat, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes and a little bit more salt before you blend. We developed this recipe using a 1,000 milligram (mg) bottle of Lily CBD. It’s part of the Healthyish Guide to Cooking With, Eating, and Truly Enjoying Weed in collaboration with Broccoli. Click here to read more about how to make cannabis delicious.
